MOZART|Requiem
the Trinity Choirs and orchestra present one of the most famous choral works in the classical canon, known both for its music and mystery—Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem. Left unfinished at the time of Mozart’s death in 1791, the dramatically powerful masterpiece captures both the anguish of death and a glimpse into the eternal. Complementing the Mozart for this program is Justorum animae, a brief work for chorus and orchestra by the composer’s contemporary and fabled rival, Antonio Salieri.
